I once had a couple interested in purchasing a unique ring set for their upcoming wedding. They wanted me to take two coins (1982 Washington and 1986 Liberty silver Commemoratives) and combine them! The way I achieved this was to punch out the centers of the coins. I then created four rings from the individual pieces, swapped the originals, and mated them in an inlay. I polished the outside of the rings clean while keeping the original coin details (including the years!) on the inside. The couple was ecstatic, and I was pleased to be part of such a special time in their lives.
